Hi,
thanks for a great theme!
I am in the process of tweaking it and wonder if there is a possibility to “turn off” submenus in the sf-menu. I am using it for pages, not posts and I would like to avoid having several submenu levels, instead only only one sublevel up there (The rest, because there are.. will go in the sidebars).
Cheers!
Hi,
thanks! Of course, that is an option I didn’t think of.. Will dig deeper into that in a while but at the moment the background I am using for the li’s is still showing although the text in the link has gone..
Nice template.
I’d like some information as to what license it’s released under please.
In short I’m thinking of using the template as a basis for a project I’m working on, but the client would require the removal of the credit displayed on every page in the footer.
I’m a fan of giving credit where credit’s due, so would be urging a reference to your site somewhere, but a credit on every page would probably be hard for the client to swallow and would push me to look elsewhere.
Cheers.

The font color must be changed in the style.css file or in one of the css fiiles in the direction lib, depending on what design you are using. The widgets on the bottom are there by default; they disappear when you put your own widgets there. If youn want to remove them, have a look at footer.php.

Hi,
and thanks for the praise! Same problem on my site, safe that the author doesn’t appear at all! No idea why that is but I’ll fix it as soon as possible.
I’ve just installed your theme, and like it very much. Only problem I have is, that the jQuery doesn’t seem to be working on the main page, however it works on the subdomain? Currently using Wordpress MU..
that is very keen, and thank you for responding so quickly! So I been digging around, and got to the header.php, that calls wp_head() function.. that is where I am stuck..
I don’t know why it would create that code there (in the main page), where it doesnt create it in the subdomain.
I’ve removed all plugins, but still no go. I’ll keep looking, if you feel gracious enough, some pointers may help, thanks again!
I like your theme – it’s clean, and I can change the colors and fonts in it. However, I had trouble with the content slider. It showed an error, so I hid it. But the biggest problem I have, and why I’m not using it now, is that it only shows my latest post on the home page. Why is that, as the preview shows several posts on the home page?
Admin comment by Devolux · March 24, 2010 at 17:28
Hi Linda-Ann,
that sounds very strange. I can’t be sure why that happens since it must be an internal error of your setup. I suppose that both errors originate from the same source. Did you change something in the theme code or do you have any plug-ins that could meddle with the theme’s JavaScript?
Thank you for your quick response. I wouldn’t touch the theme code, I don’t know enough to not screw it up. The only plugin that I have is one that came on Wordpress, “Subscribe Me 3.8″ by Denis de Bernardy that adds a widget with feed subscription buttons. My version of Wordpress is old, 2.2.1. Could that be the problem?
I love this theme but am having trouble with the dropdowns. Most of the time when I hover over a nav item with a submenu, the submenu appears just fine…but then disappears entirely when I mouse down to choose an item. Help!
Thank you so much! No, I didn’t touch any of the js, but I did add a randomized header image just before the nav. Wonder if that might be it. I’m under a bit of deadline so may end up replacing it with a non-superfish system later today, but I’d love to get this figured out in the future so I can keep using the theme. Lemme know if you have any ideas…
I’ve had several people that are using Internet Explorer as their browser report that the text is not showing up on the top-left of my blog as it should be. Instead, that space is blank and the text starts after the sidebars on the bottom-right. This makes it very cluttered and difficult to read for them.
Is there a way to change the coding so that IE will respond better? All other browsers are viewing the page correctly.

The last time I checked the theme on Internet Explorer the general appearance seemed to be alright. I suggest that you reduce the width of the left part of the site until it shows up correctly.
1 – How do I change the parameters of the “line break” that separates posts? At the moment, I find the light grey dotted line to be too soft, and would like to punch it up to a strong solid blue line, something to more clearly define where a post ends and the next begins.
2 – At the moment, paragraphs are automatically skipping lines… How do I change it so that this won’t happen, so that paragraphs will be seen as blocks?
I really liked your theme which I selected mainly because of the nice clean appearance and also the easy to set up pull down menus.
Apologies for the very basic questions but I would like to completely remove the sidebar and the cloud tags etc. I just want a simple site with the pull down menus. This site will contain the training materials for a course that I’m running and will therefore only be fully accessible to the students.
I’ve tried removing the sidebars in the widgets section but I cannot drag them out. I suspect that I will need to remove or change the code from one of the php files but I’m not confident to do this without some guidance.
Also I would like my visitors to land on the home page with a simple visitor log in to access the other pages on the site(ie. not the admin log in).

You could achieve this via CSS by hiding all levels deeper than you would like. The property is “visibility: hidden;”.

This is Open Source work so basically you are free to do with it whatever you want. It’s fine with me if you remove the default reference.

Thank you.

First, I wanted to say thanks for the beautiful theme!
I have two questions that I think are rather simple.
First, how can I change the text color to black from the grey?
Second, the widgets on the bottom don’t seem to show up in the widgets control so that I can move them. How can I do this?
Thanks!

Hi there. Like the theme, particularly the accessibility features and the disappearing side panel
Just started using it.
One glitch so far. If you check out my site on the home page/ index page you’ll see that:
in the slide show all the posts are authored by “Stephen”
While in the index all posts are correctly attributed to their authors.
I glanced at the template code and I couldn’t see any obvious reason why that wasn’t working.
Can you help?
P.S Thanks again for a great theme

Hi!
I think that this
/* < ![CDATA[ */
var shutterSettings = {
msgLoading: "L O A D I N G",
msgClose: "Click to Close",
imageCount: "1"
};
/* ]]> */
is the problem since these lines don’t appear on your sub domain (which is working).

Hi!
Great theme, very crisp and clean.
Two questions for you.
1 – How do I change the parameters of the “line break” that separates posts? At the moment, I find the light grey dotted line to be too soft, and would like to punch it up to a strong solid blue line, something to more clearly define where a post ends and the next begins.

Thanks for your help, and for the awesome theme!
Admin comment by Devolux · February 27, 2010 at 20:28
1: Have a view on style.css. There you find the properties you want to alter. Look for “excerpt” or something like that.
2: You can produce normal paragraphs by pressing “Shift+Enter” instead of just “Enter” when writing an article.
Like this!

Hi Jeremy,
removing the sidebar is nothing complicated. However you must edit a whole bunch of files to achieve this.
You have to remove this
< ?php get_sidebar(); ?>
from the following php files of the theme: index,
single, page, search, 404, archive.
Then open style.css and change the width of #left to 880px in order to extend it to the full page width.
Concerning the login you should view the WordPress Docs because this has nothing to do specifically with the theme and I have never done it anywhere.
